Labor Day at the beach!

Here are some photos from our recent trip to Port Aransas. We had a lot of fun and the twins really enjoyed playing in the sand....not the water so much. Logan and Alexis were such a huge help to Glenn and I as always....they are the best. Enjoy!

It feels weird to be updating my blog as I've been without an internet connection for quite some time! We recently made the switch from Time Warner to AT&T and have had some issues since....as a matter of fact, the last time I tried to post video footage of both Pierce and Jack, I lost my internet connection! Okay, since we're up and running again, it is time to bring you an update.
Our boys are doing so well by the Grace of God!! Pierce weighs 4 lbs. and Jack now weighs over 5 lbs. Jack has been going to town on his bottle and breast feedings and Pierce is taking his own sweet time. I personally think he likes being spoiled in the NICU, he gets so much attention!! (They both do.) As for Jack, he has met the criteria (regulating his body temp., taking all feedings by mouth, gaining weight consistently) to come home probably this Saturday! YEA!! It is a bittersweet feeling though. To bring one baby home and not the other is hard. I also believe God is at work in His great plan and making the transition for all at home a little easier. Pierce will not be that far behind, probably a week or so!! We will be so excited to welcome him home and have our COMPLETE FAMILY all under the same roof. I am at the hospital daily delivering milk and snuggling with my little men. I will continue to do that with Pierce once Jack is at home!! (somehow ;) Thanks again for your interest in the happenings of The Winship Way. I'll be in touch and send photos soon! Take care and thanks to everyone for all the yummy dinners!

Healthy Babies!!

OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!!!! Can you believe it? Our twin boys are already here!!! We are so elated and so blessed! When I went to Dr. Higby on Tuesday, the scan showed that Baby B (our small one) had only gained 1 oz. in 19 days!! He was ready to come out. So, I was admitted to the hospital later that day and had a c-section on Wed. 22nd at 9:30. Baby B was born at 9:48am weighing in at 2 lbs. 10 oz. 14.5 inches! Baby A was born at 9:49am and weighed 3 lbs. 9 oz. and is 15.5 inches long! They are doing so well, but are still without names. Sorry, we're still working on that! They both have dark, wavy hair! Logan and Alexis were born bald, maybe a little light peach fuzz, so this is new to me, but I love it! I will continue to update you all with more details as they come available, but wanted to provide some of the basic info. and a few photos in the meantime. We know you all were with us along the way, both in spirit and in prayer and we thank you so much!!!!

Patiently awaiting.....

Preparing for the OR

16 days and counting!!

I went to the doctor today - everything still looks normal and fine! We have been so blessed after our initial scare of Twin-to-Twin transfusion syndrome at only 19 weeks. Everything since, has progressed well! Dr. Higby, my Perinatologist reminds me that the condition may change on any given day since we're still dealing with TTT Syndrome. Next Tuesday will be an important day because Dr. Higby will be taking measurements of important organs and body parts to determine the babie's weights. If there is a large enough discordance(30% or more), than we may have an emergency c-section next week! If things continue to stay the same, then I will have the babies on our NEW scheduled C-section date of Thursday, April 30th (Glenn's father's birthday). I'll keep you all posted. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Many thanks!!

Basketball 101

Most of our afternoons are spent outdoors, more specifically playing some type of sport. The sport of the month is BASKETBALL. Here are a few pics of Logan (the Pro) and Lexi taking a lesson from her dad on simply "catching the ball."
