Labor Day at the beach!

Here are some photos from our recent trip to Port Aransas. We had a lot of fun and the twins really enjoyed playing in the sand....not the water so much. Logan and Alexis were such a huge help to Glenn and I as always....they are the best. Enjoy!

Healthy Babies!!

OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!!!! Can you believe it? Our twin boys are already here!!! We are so elated and so blessed! When I went to Dr. Higby on Tuesday, the scan showed that Baby B (our small one) had only gained 1 oz. in 19 days!! He was ready to come out. So, I was admitted to the hospital later that day and had a c-section on Wed. 22nd at 9:30. Baby B was born at 9:48am weighing in at 2 lbs. 10 oz. 14.5 inches! Baby A was born at 9:49am and weighed 3 lbs. 9 oz. and is 15.5 inches long! They are doing so well, but are still without names. Sorry, we're still working on that! They both have dark, wavy hair! Logan and Alexis were born bald, maybe a little light peach fuzz, so this is new to me, but I love it! I will continue to update you all with more details as they come available, but wanted to provide some of the basic info. and a few photos in the meantime. We know you all were with us along the way, both in spirit and in prayer and we thank you so much!!!!

Patiently awaiting.....

Preparing for the OR

16 days and counting!!

I went to the doctor today - everything still looks normal and fine! We have been so blessed after our initial scare of Twin-to-Twin transfusion syndrome at only 19 weeks. Everything since, has progressed well! Dr. Higby, my Perinatologist reminds me that the condition may change on any given day since we're still dealing with TTT Syndrome. Next Tuesday will be an important day because Dr. Higby will be taking measurements of important organs and body parts to determine the babie's weights. If there is a large enough discordance(30% or more), than we may have an emergency c-section next week! If things continue to stay the same, then I will have the babies on our NEW scheduled C-section date of Thursday, April 30th (Glenn's father's birthday). I'll keep you all posted. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Many thanks!!

Basketball 101

Most of our afternoons are spent outdoors, more specifically playing some type of sport. The sport of the month is BASKETBALL. Here are a few pics of Logan (the Pro) and Lexi taking a lesson from her dad on simply "catching the ball."

C-Section Date

It's official!! My doctors have set a birthdate for our twin boys.....April 28th at 12:30. Of course, the chances of them coming sooner is a possiblilty, obviously making God the final say on their true birthdate. I'm anxious to find out!

Baby Update

Today's visit with Dr. Higby went great! He measured the important organs and body parts of both babies and everything looked normal. I was hooked up to the fetal stress monitor for the first time (where they monitor the baby's heart rates). This test will be performed every Tues. and Friday from here on out. Baby A weighs 2lbs. 3oz. and Baby B weighs 1 lb. 6oz. Dr. Higby is calling my OB/GYN this afternoon to set a C-section date for Week 32 which is only less than 4 weeks away! I'm experiencing a mixture of feelings from super excited to super freaked out! He reminded me that everything could change on any given date and to be ready for them to deliver prior to Week 32. That is, if they find an issue with their hearts, fluid levels, no growth, etc. on any weekly sonogram, they'd do an emergency C-section. He told me that there comes a time when the babies chances are better outside the womb than if they just stayed put. He doesn't want me to go past 32 weeks. The babies will be staying in the NICU for at least 4weeks, probably more like 6. I'm going to pack my hospital bag this week for sure! Please continue to pray for us all! Thanks!
